Ghelga Magic Mushrooms (Psilocybe Cubensis, Ghelga) is a P. Cubensis variation created in British Columbia by an amateur mycologist and enthusiast. We spoke to the mycologist who created this variation and he explained that he tried combining Golden Teachers with Brazilian. The result was a successful strain that the mycologist deemed stable. The name was inspired by “Helga” an old nordic name meaning “holy” and “blessed”. The Mycologist is of Nordic origins and he told us a tale of how the resulting fruits were providing “holy” experiences.
The Ghelga can be described by slightly darker orange caps that are medium in size with a pale medium thick stem. The stems tend to bruise easily during harvest so do not be alarmed by slight bluing on the pale stems.
Expect above average potency with good balance. Please note that each strain may have different effects depending on the person who consumes. The set and setting is very important in what type of journey you will embark on. The amount you consume is also very important in the type of experience you will have. Always remember these are sacred plant medicines, use with respect and she will teach you many things. Many generations of indigenous and ancient people have used magic mushrooms to have “holy” experiences, having the right set and setting may allow you to tap into the powers of the sacred medicine as the ancient people did.
After 10-30 minutes of consuming Ghelga shrooms you will feel your mood enhanced with euphoria and excitement. Depending on dosage you will experience mild to intense visual enhancements. Things may seem like they are breathing, the nature around you will feel more alive and you will find yourself in introspective thought. Music and art will look and feel different and you will have a higher appreciation and you may relate the music or art to yourself on a more personal level. The most common museum dose (0.5-1.5g) and moderate dose (2-3.5g) should provide you with a 3-6 hour trip. Please read our FAQ section for more details.
